2 Bangladeshis held in Dubai for trying to sell maid

In a rare sting operation, Dubai police has arrested two Bangladeshi men on charge of human trafficking, for trying to sell a Bangladeshi housemaid to a pimp.
A Bangladeshi man in his forties admitted in a court in Dubai that he helped his friend to sell a needy Bangladeshi housemaid to a pimp, according to Dubai-based Gulf News. The two men have also been accused of exploiting the woman who left her sponsor and  was looking for a new job.

A corporal in his statement said," We arranged with the informant who posed as a buyer and agreed to buy the woman.  We arrested the suspects in a sting operation. On being questioned, he confessed that he had consensual sex with the housemaid."
The Bangladeshi man who appeared before a Dubai court on October 26 pleaded guilty to the charge of attempting, with his 37-year old compatriot, to exploit the 24-year old Bangladeshi housemaid and force her into sex trade.
A 30-year old Emirate anti-human trafficking corporal testified before the court that an informant alerted them that a Bangladeshi man was searching for someone to buy the housemaid for Dh.4000 and exploit her sexually. source: The
