Private channel Maasranga Television started its journey through airing over an hour-long inaugural programme live on July 30. The inaugural ceremony was held at the Ball Room of Radisson Water Garden Hotel. The programme featured different items including music and dance. A documentary highlighting the culture and heritage of Bangladesh was screened as well. Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Abul Kalam Azad formally launched the channel.
