Star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has been recommended to send abroad for better treatment to be recovered fully for a stress reaction on his right tibia bone.
Shakib has been suffering for this kind of injury during the Bangladesh’s Test series against West Indies in December, 2012. After a long rehabilitation, he came back in the competitive cricket with the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) but the injury again haunted him which left his service in all format of cricket in Bangladesh’s next series in Sri Lanka in doubtful situation.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is yet to fix whether they would send Shakib in abroad ahead of the Sri Lanka tour.
Shakib last underwent on operation table in Australia to cure his hamstring injury.
“We are yet to decide whether he would be sent to abroad after the BPL. We’ve to think about it before taking any final decision,” Enayet Hossain Siraj, the chairman of BCB Cricket Operations Committee said.
BCB physician however also did not make it mandatory that he should go for treatment right at the moment.
“We recommended that he might be sent in abroad to have better treatment but it is up to board whether they would send him,” chief physician Dr. Devashis Chowdhury said.
Apart from Shakib, the rest of the five injured cricketers needs just rest to be recovered fully, according to BCB medical team.

The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) cricket teams have been auctioned on 10 January, 2012.

1) SQ Sports made the highest payment to buy Chittagong team for $1.2 million.

2) Orion Group bought Khulna for $1.1 million

3) Digital Auto Car got Rajshahi for $1.07 million

4) Walton paid $1.06 to buy Sylhet.

5) Europa Group bought Dhaka for  $ 1.05 million.

and

6) Alif Group bought Barisal team for $1.01 million.

The tournament's opening ceremony will be held on Feb 9 and the first match on the following day.
